I think this was the first karaoke night in a long while during which I only did songs recorded before 1994. It was January’s birthday, and there was a different mood in the air, last night. Well, that and I am still trying to get over the aftermath of a horrible sickness. It’s all about congestion now. Beau got up there with me to do the Kate parts of “Candy”, which really pleased me. I didn’t know anyone in the room knew the words, and I always wanted to do the duet with someone, rather than doing it all myself. Sort of gave me a rest too.Muffin’s request of “Only” really turned out well, despite the circumstances. Waking up wasn’t so easy though.
As some of you are aware, I have been keeping a karaoke journal on my last.fm profile since the beginning of August. Not unlike how I have logged 99% of all the gigs I have attended since 1997, I plan to keep an accurate log of karaoke songs I sing. The main purpose is to look back to see what I have not done in a while. I think it will be interesting to pair it with a daily photo (the days on which karaoke falls).
The goals: to step up my game on Trina and her memes, and to get myself to continue uploading my photos on a regular basis. Oh, and to give Pam more of a feeling that she is involved in my life somehow from afar. (I just thought of that.)
